How do you cleanse and charge crystals?

To cleanse crystals, clear absorbed energy with smoke, sound, moonlight, or a salt-free dry method, then set an intention as you charge them. In traditional practice, water-safe stones can be rinsed, but never water-cleanse selenite, malachite, or other soft or porous stones. Many people find a monthly full-moon cleanse is enough.

From Crystal Cassandra

“Crystals don't get tired, but they do hold what you've poured into them. Cleansing is less about purifying the stone and more about resetting your relationship with it. Think of it as clearing the conversation so you can start fresh.”

About this tool

This tool draws on traditional crystal healing practices. These are spiritual and reflective traditions, not medical or psychological treatments. Many people find these practices supportive for self-reflection and emotional well-being, but they should not be used as a substitute for professional care.

Crystal care recommendations are based on mineralogy (hardness, water-solubility) where safety is concerned, and traditional crystal healing for spiritual cleansing methods.

For entertainment and self-reflection. Not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice.

Results are personal and vary from one person to the next. What many people find supportive may not work the same way for you, and nothing here is a promise of any specific result.

If you are experiencing significant emotional or physical distress, please consult a qualified professional.
